ABOUT

Hello! My name is April, I have recently graduated from university, where I studied Illustration. I have always had a passion for art from a young age. My grandad was a painter typically known for his landscape and wildlife paintings. He encouraged me, pushing me to take my work further and has made me the artist that I am today.

Since finishing university I started taking a different approach with my work, using my IPad Pro to create unique illustrations. I enjoy using line to add detail in my work alongside with a limited colour palette. I take advantage of my experiences and surroundings, using them as inspiration in my work.  I also like to work traditionally where I later enhance my work in Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator. Upon first starting university, I now have more of an understanding of what Illustration is and how I can take it further.
